Job Description

We're seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost Analyst to support our finance, operations, and purchasing teams. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate cost data, improving financial visibility, and supporting data-driven decision making across the organization. This is a hybrid opportunity paying up to $35/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain cost models to ensure accurate pricing and cost structures
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with operations and purchasing to validate cost data and support continuous process enhancements
  • Monitor cost changes and update the ERP system to ensure accurate, real-time cost information
  • Assist with cost variance analysis and provide clear summaries for leadership review
  • Support Accounts Payable with cost-related inquiries, discrepancies, and invoice matching when needed
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards for internal stakeholders

What You Bring:

  • Strong math and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, data management); familiarity with Word and Outlook
  • Experience working with ERP systems or cost-tracking databases (preferred)
  • Proven ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to dig into cost-related data
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
